Corona & The Case For Connection

Updated: Apr 26, 2020

We are currently at a critical point in human history. Beyond the immediate panic and chaos, however, lies the unlimited potential for profound, positive, and permanent change. We often tend to imagine we are separate and disconnected from others, based on differences in culture, class, wealth, religion, ethnicity, sexuality and political ideologies.

When our very survival is at risk, we are forced to not only focus on what is truly important, but also recognise that we are all in this together.  This enables the shift in consciousness required to remind each of us that we are all ultimately part of the one same tribe. The advantage of having a global problem which affects us all is that it provides the opportunity to connect with each other like never before.

Connection is what leads to communication, collaboration and creation. Only by working together can we generate new solutions needed to solve new problems. Consider for a moment how you are reading this message right now. At your fingertips, you have instant access to the ultimate connection tool. How are you going to use it?

"We cannot live only for ourselves.  A thousand fibers connect us with our fellow men; and among those fibers, as sympathetic threads, our actions run as causes, and they come back to us as effects" - Herman Melville
